29 March 2012 Update: Since several users have visited this post, I thought I’d revisit it and make it a little more helpful. I’ve included a better screenshot which identifies the home and power buttons referenced below. Hopefully it will be a little more helpful.

Today, I wanted to provide a quick post, showing you how to get a screen cap from iPad device.

If you’ve accomplished a screen cap with your iPhone or iPod Touch, you’ll follow the same steps.

The best part is that you don’t need to download any iPad or iPhone App to make accomplish this task. Below, you’ll find the simple instructions to capture a screen cap or print screen of your iPad.

  1. Press and hold the “Home” button
  2. Click the “Power” button (hold the Home and Power button at the same time)
  3. Visit your “Photos” and look in the “Saved Photos” to find your screen cap.

Here’s an example of a screen cap I captured of one of my new favorite iPad Apps, The Early Edition

That’s it. It’s a great tool to use for those looking to blog about iPads or iPad Apps. Did you already know how to accomplish this task? Let me know what you think.
